I visited RAKUDA, a bakery using homemade yeast and domestic wheat, located just a 3-minute walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit. The seasonal breads (“Shungiku and Cheese” and “Chestnut Sesame Shokupan”) were absolutely delicious.

I had the daily special set meal (chicken cutlet with tomato sauce) at the retro café ‘Café De Grand Bois’, a 2-minute walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit. The chicken cutlet was substantial and incredibly tender, and the tomato sauce with its perfect balance of saltiness and acidity was absolutely delicious!

I visited the soba restaurant Kisoba Fuyou, just a minute's walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit, for lunch and had the tempura rice bowl set (hot soba). With the weather turning much colder recently, the warm tempura rice bowl and soba were the perfect combination!

A 5-minute walk from Kuroiso Station, I visited the long-established ramen shop ‘Marushin Honke’, in business for 60 years, to check out the menu and atmosphere. The chicken bone-based soy sauce broth paired perfectly with the medium-thick, curly noodles!
