At NASUdeSUNA inside Nasu Garden Outlet, I tasted craft beers from Nasushiobara🍺 and got a refill on the whey protein beer!
NASUdeSUNA Craft Beer Brewery in Nasushiobara City
It’s interesting how they made the name a palindrome—it reads the same backward and forward.
This time, I went to NASUdeSUNA inside Nasu Garden Outlet to sample and compare their craft beers.

Review of my actual experience visiting
The shop is located in the SOUTH AREA of Nasu Garden Outlet.

Ordered Menu and Price
First, I ordered the “Tasting Set” and “Belgian Fries.”
- 4 Types of Draft Beer Tasting Set (1,500 JPY)
- Belgian Fries (Samurai Sauce, 550 JPY)
Later, I added the “Whey Protein Beer” and “Karl Pork Frank.”
- WPB: Whey Protein Beer (M size, 850 JPY)
- 100% Uno Pork Karl Pork Frank (400 JPY)
Four Types of Draft Beer Tasting Set
The four varieties selected are as follows.
- IPA: India Pale Ale
- DIPA: Double IPA
- HIPA: Hazy IPA
- WPB: Whey Protein Beer
IPA
With all that hops, the aroma and bitterness are truly remarkable!
I think it pairs well with Belgian fries.
DIPA
It’s an IPA “Double,” so the aroma and bitterness are off the charts!
It packs a punch, so it’s a great pick for craft beer lovers.
HIPA
It had a hazy appearance, so it looked cloudy.
But compared to an IPA, the bitterness was more subdued, making it easier to drink.
Since it uses oats and wheat, it has an added fruitiness.
WPB
This beer contains over 30% whey from Senbonmatsu Farm!
It looks similar to a HIPA, but it has an interesting flavor with a noticeable sweetness from the milk.
If you love dairy, you should definitely give it a try!

Belgian Fries
Belgian fries, the home of fried potatoes, are generously topped with spicy Samurai sauce.

Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the sauce’s savory flavor and spiciness paired perfectly with beer!
Uno Pork Frank
This is a frankfurter made with 100% Uno Pork from Nasushiobara.

The fat was sweet and juicy, and it paired perfectly with WPB!

The atmosphere inside
The brewery equipment was visible next to the shop, so it seems they serve the beer they brew right there on the spot.

There is no seating area inside the store, but you can eat and drink at tables next to the store or within the outlet.

Winter is cold, but when the weather is nice, you can enjoy a drink while soaking up the sun, which is quite pleasant.
