I visited Mikoshi, a Japanese-style izakaya just a 4-minute walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit. The natto dishes (like fried natto with shiso and the Mikoshi Natto Stamina) were delicious, and I got to enjoy local sake from Tochigi. It was a thoroughly satisfying dinner and drinks.

I had tantan noodle and gyoza at the specialty restaurant “Tantan-tei” near Kuroiso Station.

I visited Tantan-tei, a tantan noodle specialty shop just a 4-minute walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit, and had their “Large Tantan Noodles” & “Five Handmade gyoza.” The mellow richness of sesame paired perfectly with the chewy, medium-thin noodles! The handmade dumplings were large and very satisfying to eat.

I ordered the Spice Curry Set at SPICE AROMA, the spice restaurant in front of Kuroiso Station!

I had lunch at SPICE AROMA, a spice cuisine and tea shop in front of Kuroiso Station. The aroma of spices wafting through the shop whetted my appetite. The “Spice Curry Set” featured dal, bhindi, achar, chicken curry, yogurt, and more beautifully arranged on one plate, delighting my senses visually, olfactorily, and gustatorily.

After-lunch dessert at “fil ice cream” near Kuroiso Station

After lunch, I enjoyed dessert at "fil ice cream & coffee," a plant-based ice cream shop using ingredients from around Kuroiso. Combined with my personal black sesame craze, the “black sesame” ice cream was absolutely delicious.

I had the “Chashu Noodles” at Menya Hideyoshi, a ramen shop near Nishinasuno Station.

Menya Hideyoshi, a ramen shop just a 3-minute walk from the west exit of Nishinasuno Station, is famous for its light and refreshing soy sauce ramen. This time, I visited around lunchtime and had the "Chashu Ramen."

A 3-minute walk from Kuroiso Station, purchase seasonal bread at RAKUDA, a bakery featuring homemade yeast bread.

I visited RAKUDA, a bakery using homemade yeast and domestic wheat, located just a 3-minute walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit. The seasonal breads (“Shungiku and Cheese” and “Chestnut Sesame Shokupan”) were absolutely delicious.
