I dropped by the creative Italian-style bar “NasushioBar Unico,” just a 4-minute walk from Nishinasuno Station’s west exit, and enjoyed their Italian sausage with a refreshing lemon sour.
Located just four minutes from Nishinasuno Station, it’s a creative Italian bar known for mixing seasonal and locally sourced ingredients into their dishes.
The place is popular for dishes made with local veggies and whatever’s in season.
This time, I stopped by after work for a little treat.

Review of my actual experience visiting
At dinnertime, the place is lit up with beautiful illuminations that make the whole area glow.

I went around 7 p.m., and the place was already buzzing with people.
Here’s what I ordered and the prices
- Guinness Draft – 1 pint (¥1,100)
- Assorted Appetizers (¥1,400)
- Unico’s Signature Lemon Sour (¥800)
- Grilled Italian Sausage “Salsiccia” (¥1,000)
- Wakayama Yuzu Liqueur with Soda (¥800)
About taste and portion size
When I saw Guinness on the menu, I ordered it right away.
That creamy head and the rich bitterness—just perfect!
For food, I went with the assorted appetizers and the Italian sausage.
Assorted Appetizers
The set of five appetizers was served with the staff carefully explaining each one as it arrived.
- Edamame and Corned Beef Potato Salad
- Carrot Rape (Carrot and Orange Salad)
- Salted mullet roe cake (a cake with salted mullet roe paste kneaded into it)
- Shrimp Rillette (Rich shrimp paste on a baguette)
- Low-Temperature Cooked Chicken Breast with Ethnic Sauce

I wanted to say “I personally love ○○!” but all five varieties were delicious, so I couldn’t choose.
I felt each one could easily stand alone as a dish.
Grilled Italian Sausage “Salsiccia”
I was craving something spicy, so I ordered the “Piccante,” which is packed with chili and spices.
The coarse-ground pork and the chili kick were amazing.
I tried adding some lemon and mustard halfway through, but honestly, I liked it best just as it was.

Unico’s Signature Lemon Sour
It had just the right balance of tanginess and sweetness, which was perfect.
Not sure what spices they used, but the aroma was great—something you can enjoy with both taste and smell.

The atmosphere inside
The moment I walked in, it felt super relaxed and homey—like a place where you can just unwind and enjoy yourself.
There’s a counter on the left as you enter, and tables on the right—some for two, some for four, and even a couple for six.
When I placed my first order, the staff asked, “Is there anything you don’t like?” which I really appreciated.
I also noticed the staff double-checking orders by saying things like, “Delivering 〇〇 to table △△,” which seemed like a great way to avoid mix-ups.
Features & Usability of Unico
Here’s a quick look at the dining scenes and facilities at NasushioBar Unico.
Recommended for different occasions
They have both counter and table seating, so it works whether you’re dining solo or coming with friends, coworkers, or family.
They also offer party plans, which makes it a solid spot for welcome parties, celebrations, or casual get-togethers.
If you’re not ordering alcohol during dinner, there’s a 90-minute time limit, so if you prefer to stay non-alcoholic, I’d recommend going for their weekday lunch or getting takeout instead.
Facilities
- Wi-Fi & Power supply:None
- Smoking:Smoke-free bar (Smoking area available outside the bar)
- Payment method: Cash, credit cards, etc. (Since Unico has Air Pay installed, I believe various payment methods are available.)
