So I headed to Miruru, the Nasushiobara City Library, just a 20-second walk from the west exit of Kuroiso Station.
After a bit of reading, I stopped by the café inside — Morricone — for a short break and treated myself to some ice cream.

About taste
I ordered the peanut-flavored ice cream. 🍨
The first thing that hit me was the rich, nutty aroma of roasted peanuts, followed by a creamy milkiness that spread gently across my palate.
It had a mild sweetness — nothing too heavy — just perfectly balanced and comforting.
The aftertaste was light, with a smooth, lingering peanut flavor that stayed pleasantly on the tongue.
It wasn’t flashy or overly sweet, but had a warm, soothing taste that somehow made me feel relaxed.

The atmosphere inside
Tall, lattice-style bookshelves stretch all the way up to the ceiling, and above them are beautiful word sculptures carved into the walls.
Nestled within this “forest of books” is the cozy café Morricone. ☕📖
There’s an eat-in area at the back of the café and another one in the adjoining space.
I noticed some high school students bringing in their own lunches and bakery food from outside, but a staff member walking around politely asked them to stop — so it seems that outside food isn’t actually allowed in the café. 🍱🚫
