Enjoyed “Shirasu Peperoncino” and “Pumpkin potage soup” at the Italian Restaurant “Pizzeria Pico” in front of Kuroiso Station!
I stopped by Pizzeria Pico, an Italian restaurant located right in front of Kuroiso Station’s west exit.
It’s next to Iris Bread & Coffee and part of the Kanel Bread restaurant group.
The place is famous for its authentic wood-fired pizzas, but this time I was in the mood for pasta — so I went with their “Shirasu Peperoncino” (garlic and olive oil pasta topped with baby sardines) and a creamy pumpkin potage soup. 🍝🎃

Review of my actual experience visiting
The lunch menu was like this.

Ordered Menu and Price
This time, I ordered “Shirasu Peperoncino” and “Pumpkin potage soup.”
- Shirasu Peperoncino (¥1,600)
- Pumpkin potage soup (¥800)

About taste
Both were simple yet carefully crafted, and you could taste the care that went into them.
A creamy pumpkin potage soup
As soon as I took a sip, the gentle sweetness of the pumpkin and a touch of natural saltiness spread softly in my mouth.
It had a smooth texture and a pure, comforting pumpkin flavor — a perfect warm-up before the pasta. 🎃

Shirasu Peperoncino
The moment it arrived, the aroma of garlic filled the air, instantly whetting my appetite.
Each bite brought together the toasty scent of olive oil and the flavor of the pasta, balanced beautifully by the mild saltiness of shirasu (baby sardines) and a subtle kick from the chili.
Though it looks simple, the dish was perfectly balanced — flavorful, satisfying, and delicious to the very last bite. 🍝✨

The atmosphere inside
From the outside, the place looks like a cozy restaurant tucked away in a little forest — surrounded by greenery and full of natural charm. 🌿

Inside, the atmosphere is calm and elegant, with a refined, grown-up vibe.
From the counter seats, you can watch the chef at work, which makes the waiting time feel enjoyable rather than long. 👨🍳✨
The soup was served first, and just as I finished it, the pasta arrived — perfectly timed.
That thoughtful service made the whole experience even more pleasant.
