Dinner at Chinese restaurant “Rohran,” a 3-minute walk from Kuroiso Station’s West Exit! I had the stir-fried pork with green peppers set.
A Chinese restaurant “Rohran” located about a 3-minute walk from Kuroiso Station’s west exit.
It’s a place where you can enjoy a wide variety of Chinese dishes—from set meals to authentic à-la-carte dishes.
I stopped by for dinner this time and ordered the stir-fried beef and peppers (chinjao rosu) set.

Review of my actual experience visiting
Even in pitch darkness, the sign’s lights make it stand out clearly (though sometimes these lights are out).

Ordered Menu and Price
I was torn between so many things I wanted to eat… but this time I went with the chinjao rosu.
Chinjao rosu set (1,480 JPY)
About taste & volume
The set meal comes with a ton of dishes—appetizers, salad, the main dish, rice, soup, a spring roll, pickles, and almond jelly. It’s a super satisfying lineup.

The Chinjao Rosu was lightly seasoned and very refreshing.
You could really taste the flavors of the beef, bamboo shoots, and green peppers—simple but delicious.
The crunchy texture was awesome!

I was especially happy that the set came with a spring roll.
It was freshly fried, super crispy, and really good.

They also serve a complimentary hot oolong tea after your meal.

The atmosphere inside
The inside of the restaurant feels really upscale—like a proper, authentic Chinese restaurant.
But interestingly, there was only one of those big round “spinning” tables you usually imagine at Chinese places. Most of the seating was regular tables.

There were customers of all ages, from families with kids to older folks.
I went around 20 o’clock, so I got a seat right away, but if I had arrived a little earlier, I probably would’ve had to wait.
The staff were dressed in traditional Chinese-style uniforms, which added to the authentic vibe, and their service was very professional.
Features & Usability of Rohran
Here’s a quick look at the dining scenes and facilities at Rohran.
Recommended for different occasions
There aren’t any counter seats—only tables—so if you’re dining solo, it might feel a bit lonely.
But if that doesn’t bother you, eating alone is totally fine here.
There are private rooms on the second floor, and you can reserve them, so it’s great for families with kids or larger groups.
They also offer takeout, and you can order by phone, so during busy hours, getting your food to go might actually be the smarter choice.
