I stopped by Nasu Cafe', a light-bite cafe in the waiting room at Nasushiobara Station. While waiting for the Shinkansen ahead of my Tokyo business trip, I filled up on their "Shiobara Chashu Noodles" and "Nasu Pork Long Sausage Dog." Here are my thoughts.
Japanese cuisine I had the premium nigiri sushi at “Ikezushi,” an Edomae-style sushi restaurant near Kuroiso Station.
I had dinner at Ikezushi, a sushi restaurant a 5-minute walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit. I ordered the Premium nigiri set (7 pieces of nigiri, 1 gunkan, and 1 sushi roll), a natto roll, and hamo tempura. Including the complimentary miso soup, everything was delicious.
Chinese food Ordered the stir-fried pork with green peppers set at the Chinese restaurant “Rohran” near Kuroiso Station.
I had dinner at the Chinese restaurant "Rohran," a 3-minute walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit. I ordered the stir-fried pork with green peppers set meal. The set menu was incredibly generous, featuring an appetizer, salad, main dish, rice, soup, spring rolls, pickles, and almond jelly—a truly satisfying lineup.

After lunch, I enjoyed dessert at "fil ice cream & coffee," a plant-based ice cream shop using ingredients from around Kuroiso. Combined with my personal black sesame craze, the “black sesame” ice cream was absolutely delicious.

I visited "moon breeze" near Nasushiobara Station. It's a spot where you can enjoy food made with local ingredients and non-alcoholic cocktails. This time, I had the 100% ground pork menchi-katsu sandwich!

I visited NasushioBar Unico, a creative Italian bar near Nishinasuno Station, and enjoyed an appetizer platter and Italian sausage. Their original lemon sour was delicious too.

Kuroiso Broiler, a meat deli shop a 10-minute walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit. It's a bit far to walk, but I stopped by to pick up dinner sides and bought some karaage and minced meat patties.

I visited the soba restaurant Kisoba Fuyou, just a minute's walk from Kuroiso Station's West Exit, for lunch and had the tempura rice bowl set (hot soba). With the weather turning much colder recently, the warm tempura rice bowl and soba were the perfect combination!
