Lunch at “Café Holiday,” a 5-minute walk from Kuroiso Station! I had the large portion of “Holiday Curry” topped with eggplant and a soft-boiled egg.

Review of my actual experience visiting
The café is located across from Ikezushi.

I went right after they opened, so there were no other customers—I was the first one there.
Ordered Menu and Price
In addition to curry rice, the menu included toast, hot sandwiches, and desserts.
The drink menu included coffee and tea, as well as lemonade and other beverages.
This time, I ordered a large portion of my favorite curry as part of a set meal.
- Holiday Curry Set (Large Portion;1,100 JPY)
- Salad
- Drink (Black Tea)
About taste and portion size
The food & drink were served about 10 minutes after we ordered.

It looks simple, with just eggplant and a soft-boiled egg on top, but it smells amazing!
The first bite had a mellow, gentle flavor, followed by a subtle kick of spice.
It seemed to have tomatoes in it as well, giving it just the right amount of acidity—it was really delicious.
The portion was labeled as “large,” but it actually felt a bit on the small side.
However, the set came with a salad and a drink, and the tea was enough for three or four cups, so overall, it was just the right amount.

If you’re just ordering the curry, the portion might be just right even with a dessert.
The atmosphere inside
The interior had a classic, retro feel to it, evoking the nostalgic atmosphere of a traditional coffee shop.

The terrace seating wasn’t just outdoors—there was an indoor terrace too—and it was a stylish and lovely space.

I don’t know what it’s like when it’s crowded, but when it’s quiet, I can really relax.
The number one spot for a peaceful break!
The staff are very attentive, and when I asked about the curry, I could tell they really take pride in what they do.
